911 caller: Orduna found unconscious and bleeding on roadside

Orduna died around 11 p.m. that evening. A preliminary autopsy report says the teen’s injuries were consistent with those one would receive from leaving a vehicle.

Police question witness accounts in Orduna case

N&O crime reporter Thomasi McDonald reports that investigators are looking into the statements of other people at the party where Orduna was last seen alive.

Authorities believe the 18-year-old Texas woman got into a fight with another woman at a party on Monday evening. As a result of the altercation, she and Spencer Bolick left the house, which is rented by Bolick, and drove off. Investigators say it now appears Bolick was talking to the other woman via phone when Orduna left the vehicle.

Orduna died Tuesday evening from injuries related to a major head trauma that coroners say is consistent with leaving a moving vehicle.

Garner Police have confirmed that 18-year-old Mayela Orduna died from a massive head trauma, reports N&O crime reporter Thomasi McDonald . The autopsy suggests the injury is “consistent with her exiting the vehicle,” police said.

Local authorities found the Texas teen early Tuesday morning along Aversboro Road after a passing motorist spotted her.
